Offered here is an incredible pictorial documentary of baseball in Japan during the late 1920s and 1930. This "Volume 1" was issued by Baseball
Magazine. It contains approximately 250 pages consisting solely of nearly 1,000 photos with captions (in Japanese). The
book includes fabulous photos of Major League Hall of Famers such as Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Jimmie Foxx, Walter
Johnson, John McGraw and many others. The majority of photos are action shots and team portraits featuring members of the Tokyo Big Six
University teams, which at the time were the top teams in Japan and whose rosters included numerous Japan Hall of Famers. Additionally, there
are 13 pages of photos from the Alameda Kono Tour of Japan and seven pages which chronicle the Los Angeles Nippon Tour of
Japan.
Size: 7 1/4" x 10". Approximately 250 pages.
Condition: The original front cover has been reattached. The binding and back cover
are not original. However, the inside pages are original, very clean and grade Nr/Mt.
